This article really bothers me, because I just don't get how people can be so cruel. Not only was she charged with poisoning 5 people with bleach at a clinic in Lufkin, Texas, she even poisoned 3 people in one day and made a total of 5 different patients sick!
If she is convicted of all of this, the nurse Kimberly Saenz, 35, will face the death penalty. Which is something that I really don't agree with. Yes, Saenz did a terrible thing and I believe she should be in jail and remain there for the rest of her life without parole. Why kill her? It makes no sense to me and I think it's very prehestoric of our country. We are basically killing people because they have killed people... does that make sense? It just sends mixed messages when I think that to make her suffer in jail would be much more harmful to her then just being put to death. After being convicted and facing jail Saenz will most likely wish she was dead.
Overall, this article was informative but disturbing. I don't understand why the death penalty is still around and why Saenz would kill innocent people in recovery.
