This news article was so shocking to me, did Virginia not learn their lesson with the Virginia Tech Massacre?? It's very hard for me to believe that they would still not have a limit on gun control... it concerns me and it should really concern anyone.
It also surprised me that Virginia passed up a bill to add higher taxes on tobacco, do they not want to encourage better health? Virginia is sounding more and more like a state for criminals to me.
I agree with Gov. Tim Kaine, he really seems to be trying to get these necessary bills across. I agree with his efforts to broaden health care and strengthen gun control, but I'm not completely sure about making pre-k universal, although I do think pre-k is an important part of a child's education I don't think it is necessary for all parents to send their kids to pre-k.
Overall, I am very disappointed with the decisions of Virginia's Senate. It's very scary that they haven't learned from their mistakes.

I completely agree with your siding of Virginia's mistakes with their bills. Higher taxes on tobacco? Really? Where is that getting you? And about the Virginia Tech thing- it just seems so wrong to me. I know that school shootings are depressing for everyone, and it shook the whole country up, just like Columbine did. It's sad that a state like that is making such bad decisions, when they need to be standing up tall for their state and be making the RIGHT decisions.
